PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball bearing or a bearing assembly constituted to prevent an overload of the ball bearing or the bearing assembly used for a high-speed apparatus such as a dental turbine, a dental angle handpiece, and a turbomolecular pump. SOLUTION: In this ball bearing 6 and the bearing assembly for the high- speed apparatus in particular, such as the dental turbine, the dental angle handpiece, and the turbomolecular pump, balls 4 are disposed between an inner ring 7 and an outer ring 8, and the ball 4 has a tensile force dependent on an operating rotation speed so as to have a favorable friction resistance characteristic in a starting stage in particular, and prevent the overload of the ball bearing or the bearing assembly by prestress caused by geometrical deviation or inaccurate assembling. |
