ELECTROLUMINESCENT FLUORESCENT SUBSTANCE OF HIGH LUMINANCE AND ELECTROLUMINESCENT ELEMENT USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an electroluminescent fluorescent substance comprising zinc sulfide, having improved luminance property when used as an electroluminescent element, and to provide an electroluminescent element having improved brightness by using the electroluminescent fluorescent substance. SOLUTION: The electroluminescent fluorescent substance contains fluorescent powder comprising zinc sulfide as the fluorescent matrix, wherein the fluorescent powder has 10-20μm average mean particle diameter based on 50%-D value and <=15 mass% particle size distribution of a >=31μm particle diameter component. The electroluminescent element has a luminescent layer containing such an electroluminescent fluorescent substance of high luminance. A transparent electrode layer is integrally set on one side of the principal plane of the luminescent layer and a back electrode layer is integrally set on the other side of the principal plane through a reflective insulating layer.
