PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fluorescent substance paste which is used for displays, scarcely causes the deterioration of panel emission intensity and chromaticity irregularity and has high panel emission brightness, to provide a display member, and to provide a display. SOLUTION: The display member has a fluorescent substance layer which contains a plate-like aluminate fluorescent substance containing activated two- valent europium and having a lattice constant c of <=22.630Å, or a plate-like aluminate fluorescent substance containing activated two-valent europium and coated with a phosphate containing a metal. The display, and the paste which is used for the displays and is a raw material for the displays are provided.
