PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply which can realize, in the inside, the charging process of a battery without needing a separate charger, and also to provide an imaging system utilizing the same power supply. SOLUTION: This power supply comprises a power-on switch 103, a battery folder 101 which can load a battery and an exclusive chargeable battery, a battery loading detection switch 102 for detecting that the exclusive battery has been loaded to the battery folder, an adapter loading detection switch 106 for detecting that an adapter 105 has been loaded, a normally-charging switch 104, which is connected between the power supply line L1 and an voltage output line of the battery folder and is turned on and off with a first control signal CTL110 and a microcomputer 110 for outputting the first control signal to the normally-charging switch 104, when the power-on switch is turned off, loading of the exclusive battery is detected and loading of the adapter is detected.
