PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for estimating a coefficient of permeability and a method for evaluating soundness in a bedrock, in which a special distribution of an accurate coefficient of permeability is easily prepared for permeability around an underground structure, under a condition where an original function of the facility is maintained, not necessarily requiring flow measurement by a test borehole. SOLUTION: The method for estimating the coefficient of permeability is fundamentally a method for reverse-analyzing based upon the measured information on the ground and bedrock. Preset coefficient of permeability is updated by a reverse analysis based upon the measured value in an applicable range of the ground and bedrock. Specifically, the preset coefficient of permeability is a subjective probability distribution of the coefficient of permeability based upon indirect information, or the measured value in the applicable range of the ground and bedrock is a pore water value, a flow rate value or both of the pore water value and the flow rate value in the applicable range of the ground and bedrock.
