METHOD FOR DETERMINING POSITION AND DIRECTION OF WORKING MACHINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for determining a position and a direction of a working machine having a controllably attached working tool. SOLUTION: This method comprises steps such that: the working machine is disposed in a desired working position; the initial position and direction of the working machine are determined by local coordinates; a position of the working tool with respect to the working machine is determined; the working tool is located at a desired reference point; the position of the working tool is identified as the reference point based on the local coordinates; the working tool is periodically disposed at the reference point during working operations; and the new position and direction of the working machine are determined as a function of the position of the working tool with respect to the working machine.
