PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an upper and lower sliding door unlocking tool for an elevator, improving maintenance working efficiency by permitting the unlocking of a lock device with simple operation during manually unlocking closed upper and lower sliding doors. SOLUTION: When the closed upper and lower sliding doors are manually unlocked during maintenance, an worker pulls an anchor 19 out of the unlocking tool 12 to give tension to a flexible operating strip 18 whereby a working rod 17 is turned to be line with an insertion rod 14. The unlocking tool 12 is inserted into a key hole at an access, the flexible operating strip 18 is loosened by releasing the anchor 19 and the working rod 17 is bent by an energizer 16 to unlock the lock device. In this way, the upper and lower sliding doors can be unlocked by worker's operation of pushing the unlocking tool 12 simply against the edge of the access with his single hand. Therefore, the need for operating the unlocking tool 12 to open the upper and lower sliding doors in the state of holding the lock device at an unlock position is eliminated and easy opening of upper and lower sliding doors is achieved with simple operation.
