BOOKLET CARRYING DEVICE AND CARRYING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying device and a carrying method for booklets in which even booklets using paper of less ream weight can be automatically set to packaging containers. SOLUTION: In this carrying device and carrying method for booklets, a number of booklets being carried in the form of diagonally overlapped slices are sucked and held by a pair of suction heads from the foremost line one by one to be carried. The suction heads 14 and 14 are provided on tip parts of a pair of cylinders 11 and 11 actuating in strokes in the attitude of an overturned truncated chevron shape. Tension is provided to the booklet 7 sucked and held by utilizing enlargement of the span between the suction heads 14 and 14 in accordance with contraction action of the cylinders 11 and 11, so that it is carried.
