The installation has four sections carried in one or more 6 or 12 metre ISO standard transport containers including: (1) a decantation section (A) where a coagulant or flocculant is injected and having elements with an inclined honeycomb structure for upward circulation of water; (2) an intermediate storage module (B); (3) a technical equipment section (C); and (4) a filtration module (D). The first section (A) has at least one mechanical decantation compartment (A3) with sludge separating vanes forming parallel channels inclined at about 55 degrees to the horizontal. The third section (C) has a blower compartment (C1) containing air pumps used to clean the filters in the fourth section (D), chlorine injectors and tanks for the coagulation/flocculation agents.
