PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a manufacturing cost by saving time and labor required for assembling components to store in the body case of a proximity switch. SOLUTION: Fit-engagement parts are provided in a coil cap to cover a detecting coil part and a holding member holding a detecting circuit part to be combined with the cap respectively, and the engagement parts are engaged with each other in order to combine the coil cap with the holding member.
