PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration suppressing device which can suppress acceleration caused by an earthquake to a building by a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A plate 132 is mounted on elastic units 152, 154, 156, and 158 fixed to a bottom surface 120 in a box 110. The elastic units 152 to 158 and the plate 132 are fixed. Elastic units 162, 164, 166, and 168 are fixed to the plate 132. A plate 134 is fixed to the elastic units 162 to 168, a weight 140 is fixed onto the plate 134. The elastic units 152 to 158 constitute a first isolator, the elastic units 162 to 168 constitute a second isolator. The elastic units 152 to 158 and the elastic units 162 to 168 are different in rigidity. An earthquake control function is accomplished by the actious of these two kinds of isolators.
