PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid electric vehicle capable of absorbing a large amount of regenerative electric power, without increasing the capacity of an accumulator. SOLUTION: This hybrid electric vehicle, which is provided with an engine 1, a generator 2 that is connected to the engine 1, an accumulator 3 that accumulates electric power, and a traveling motor 4 that is caused by the electric power to generate driving force, is capable of performing regenerative operation of the energy accumulated in the accumulator 3, by converting energy that is generated, when the vehicle is decelerated into electric power energy by the generating operation of the traveling motor 4. In this vehicle, two or more electric power consuming devices 2, 7 are provided that consume electric power, when the charged capacity of the accumulator 3 exceeds a prescribed value in the regenerative operation of the energy. |
