PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous secondary battery of a high capacity and safety when overcharged. SOLUTION: In the nonaqueous secondary battery having a positive electrode with lithium complex oxide as a positive electrode active material, a negative electrode, a nonaqueous electrolyte and a separator, a compound having a hydrocarbon chain not less than carbon number 8 in the battery is contained and as the separator, and a micro-porous resin film having a thickness of not more than 20 μm, air permeability of not more than 200 seconds, and an average pore diameter of not less than 0.1 μm is used. As for the compound having the hydrocarbon chain not less than the carbon number 8, ether(s) or ester(s) such as ethyl oleate or the like are preferable, and when they are applied to the nonaqueous secondary battery or the nonaqueous secondary battery of square type or sheathed type with a laminate film, utilized with charged electric power of not less than 0.59 Wh/cm3 per unit volume of an electrode laminate, this effect appears significantly. |
