PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolytic solution battery having a superior cycle performance which is free from falling off and peeling-off of carbonaceous materials out of a current collector in working of a carbon negative electrode material for the nonaqueous electrolyte. SOLUTION: A binder of the negative electrode contains metal salt(s) of carboxymethylcellulose and butadiene containing rubber, and that which has the value of etherification degree of the metal salt(s) of carboxymethylcellulose larger than 0.65 is used.
