QoS GUARANTEEING METHOD AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a QoS guaranteeing method for guaranteeing the QoS at a specified level, utilizing DiffServ. SOLUTION: Packet buffers provided respectively for classes AF1-AF4 are assigned for TCP data and UDP data. A band specified by DiffServ to be assigned to the packet buffers provided for the classes AF1-AF4 is set for over 1/0.75 of the total of minimum guaranty rates specified by SLA every user. The bucket size ratio used in the token bucket method for detecting a minimum guaranty rate of each user and the transmission rate of a received packet are stored in the packet buffers provided for the classes AF1-AF4 and respectively made constant every user.
