PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving picture reproducing device that can read only required data at random access, even when coded data where a coding amount and time are not proportional are recorded. SOLUTION: The moving image reproducing device, that reproduces at least either of video and audio from a recording medium, wherein multiplexed coding data multiplexing video coding data and audio coding data including key frame coding data consisting of an in-frame coding frame or a frame subjected to forward prediction coding are recorded, in addition to management data including position information denoting the position of the key frame on the multiplexed coding data, is provided with a means 1, that reads the management data from the recording medium, a means 4 that obtains the position of the key frame from the management data at random access, and a means 3 that reads the multiplexed coding data from the position of the key frame.
