PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for measuring web tension accurately in a printing machine by removing a defect in conventional technique. SOLUTION: The web tension measuring device is provided with a roller for coming into contact with a material web, a reaction device connected with the roller, and a controller connected with the reaction device for measuring web tension.
