PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an angle sensor that can expand the control zone width of the angle of rotation of a limited rotation motor, and has high rigidity and low inertia. SOLUTION: This angle sensor is provided with light-emitting elements 10a and 10b, which radially emit light rays 13a and 13b with respect to the rotary shaft 5a of a rotor 5 fixed to the rotor 5, optical position sensors 11a and 11b which are arranged at prescribed intervals from the elements 10a and 10b and made to be at rest at positions, where the sensor 10a and 10b respectively have sensitivity to the azimuthal changes of the light rays 13a and 13b caused by the revolving motion of the rotor 5, and a control circuit section 3 which fixes the quantities of the light rays emitted from the light-emitting elements 10a and 10b. This angle sensor is also provided with an arithmetic circuit section 4, which measures the angle of rotation of the limited rotation motor, based on the output signals of the sensors 11a and 11b.
