PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a water pump so that functional characteristics of the water pump is transplanted even by simple structuring units formed by a few structural parts. SOLUTION: An inserting member 12 is placed between a case part 6 and a cover part 8 and seals outward both the parts 6, 8 for forming an axial flow of cooling water for an impeller. Necessary separation of a pressurizing side from a sucking side is assured by maintaining a sealing gap.
