PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid a problem that a sealed container expands, an inner diameter thereof is increased, a stator shrink-fitted and fixed in the sealed container drops and a coil end abuts on a compression mechanism part and is burned out, which is caused when a refrigerant having a high design pressure is used, and to improve reliability without thickening the sealed container. SOLUTION: A protrusion 10 having an inside diameter side part protruding adjacently to a bottom surface of a laminated core 5 of the stator 4 is provided in the sealed container 1. Therefore, the stator 4 can be held even when the sealed container 1 expands and the inside diameter increases. Therefore, drop of the stator 4 can be prevented.
