PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna device capable of making satisfactory communication over a wide range by minimizing a non-detection area within the limit of wave radiation. SOLUTION: An antenna assembly 10 is constituted by adjacently arranging almost square-shaped four antennas 11-14 on the same plane, and arranged to face a similar antenna assembly 20. In this case, anti-phase currents are allowed to flow through the first antenna 11 and the third antenna 13, and anti-phase currents are also allowed to flow through the second antenna 12 and the fourth antenna 14. Then, the second and fourth antennas perform phase inversion for each data communication between a pattern 1 that in-phase currents are allowed to flow through the second antenna 12 and the third antenna 13 and a pattern 2 that in-phase currents are allowed to flow through the first antenna 11 and the second antenna 12. Then, a phase difference is set between the first and second antenna assemblies 10 and 20.
