SOLUTION: A main controller 1 obtains the height of the electronic component, based on the signal outputted from the servo motor 9, when the electronic component is to be mounted, and sets the maximum height of placed electronic components to an operation-starting position Pz. A positioning controller 2 confirms the position to the Z direction of the current nozzle tip section, based on the signal outputted from the servo motor 9, and outputs a command speed to servo drives 3 and 6, when the position to the Z direction of the current nozzle tip section coincides with the operation-starting position Pz.
