PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the positioning of a load in an electronic component-mounting machine that can obtain a position to the Z direction of a nozzle tip section, based on a signal outputted from a servo motor for moving the nozzle tip section to the Z direction (an upper direction), when electronic components are to be mounted, and to provide an apparatus for controlling the positioning of the load in the electronic component-mounting machine. SOLUTION: A main controller 1 obtains the height of the electronic component, based on the signal outputted from the servo motor 9, when the electronic component is to be mounted, and sets the maximum height of placed electronic components to an operation-starting position Pz. A positioning controller 2 confirms the position to the Z direction of the current nozzle tip section, based on the signal outputted from the servo motor 9, and outputs a command speed to servo drives 3 and 6, when the position to the Z direction of the current nozzle tip section coincides with the operation-starting position Pz. |
