PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device that exerts excellent sealing performance at a time of rotating a rotational shaft and keeps the excellent sealing performance for a long period of service. SOLUTION: The sealing device has a cover member 18 made of hard material. The cover member 18 is disposed on a fluid storage chamber 33 side and nearer than a rear seal member 6 having a rubber lip portion 7. The cover member 18 has a cylindrical portion 19, and of which inner face has screw grooves S. A minute clearance C is formed between the inside face of the cover member and an outer face of the rotational shaft 23. |
