PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and positively mount and fix a battery onto a plane table fixed to a general purpose engine application apparatus or an automobile, without using a tool such as an impact driver or a spanner. SOLUTION: This battery fixing structure is provided with a battery 1 placed between insert-through holes 2-1 of a plane table 2; fixed support bars 8 each of which is provided with a U-shaped part 8-2 on one end side, and plural rows of latch parts 8-1 comprising a plurality of cutout parts arranged in the length direction, on the other end side; and a clamping plate 7 provided with a pair of insert-through holes 7-1 for inserting the fixed support bars 8, and tongue parts 10 engaged with the latch parts 8-1 of the fixed support bars 8. The clamping plate 7 is placed on the battery 1, and a pair of fixed support bars 8 are mounted through the insert-through holes 2-1 of the plane table 2, with the respective U-shaped parts 8-2 arranged at the lower face of the plane table 2. The latch parts 8-1 of a pair of fixed support bars 8 are respectively mounted through a pair of insert-through holes 7-1 of the clamping plate 7 to fix the battery 1 to the plane table 2.
