PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new cyathane derivative different from the cyathane derivatives heretofore reported. SOLUTION: The derivative is expressed by chemical formula (1) The derivative can be easily artificially converted into erinacine A, erinacine B or the like which is useful as a NGF production revulsive, and at the same time, it is expected useful as an antitumor agent, a senile dementia treating agent and the like.
