PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for discovering a promiscuous-node which illegally accesses, such as network wire tapping, and an apparatus for executing the same as well as a computer program. SOLUTION: The method for discovering the promiscuous-node comprises a step of generating a request packet for inquiring a physical address of a node having a specific IP address to a node connected to the network, a step of sending the generated request packet to a physical address which is not a broadcast, and a step of specifying the promiscuous-node by receiving a response packet responding to the request packet.
