PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost, compact, and simple-structure passive hybrid bearing capable of holding a magnetic attraction force necessary for the midpoint of a movable side and a fixed side. SOLUTION: This hybrid bearing comprises a bearing pad 2 supported to a bearing housing 1 and a planar body 5 forming a pneumatic bearing by opposing bearing surfaces 2a of the bearing pad 2 at prescribed intervals. The bearing surface 2a is disposed with a plurality of air injection holes 2c for providing the prescribed intervals and a plurality of permanent magnets 3, the air injection holes 2c are disposed at equal intervals on the circumference with the center of the bearing surface 2a set to the center, and the permanent magnets 3 are embedded to be magnetically non-contact with a plurality of recessed parts 2e provided in the inside region of the circumference except for their bottom parts via non-magnetic material fixed body 4.
