PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently execute the demolition work under weather free condition, to shorten a term of work and to reduce the construction cost by utilizing a S or SRC structural part near the uppermost story as a temporary roof in demolition of an existing building. SOLUTION: In the demolition of the building 12 having the regular S structural or SRC structural part on the uppermost story 12a or near the same, temporary supports 14 are stood on a building outer peripheral part. The temporary supports 14 respectively have a climbing mechanism 16, and provided with a vertically movable outer peripheral frames 10 surrounding the building 12, and the outer peripheral frames 10 are raised to the S structural (SRC structural) part of, for example, the uppermost story part 12a or the like. Steel frame pillars or beams of the S structural (SRC structural) part are jointed to the outer peripheral frames 10, the S-structural (SRC structural) part is separated from the skeleton at a lower story to form a temporary roof frame 18. The temporary roof frame 18 is temporarily raised, and an overhead crane 20 is placed under the same. The skeleton of the lower story is pulled down from its upper part, the scraps are hoisted down by the overhead crane, and the temporary roof frame 18 is lowered according to the progress of the demolition work.
