PURPOSE: A method for controlling a remote system through a DCC(Data Communication Channel) in a transmission network is provided to control and manage a remote transmission system only with a change of software by configuring a data communication channel through E1/T1/DS0 signals in a multiplexing transmission system. CONSTITUTION: A transmitting side, a central office, sets up the basic value of a toggle bit as '1'(S210). In case that the data transmission between the transmitting side and a receiving side is required, the transmitting side toggles the toggle bit to '0'(S220,S230). Then the transmitting side configures DS0 data comprising the toggle bit(S240). The transmitting side transmits the configured DS0 data by bytes(S250). If the DS0 data arrive at the receiving side, the receiving side transfers a toggle response to the transmitting side(S260). If the toggle response is received, the transmitting side toggles the toggle bit to '1' again(S270) and judges whether all the DS0 data have been transmitted(S280).
