PURPOSE: A device for resetting a microcomputer of a monitor is provided to externally reset the microcomputer using an OSD key while the monitor operates in a display power management mode. CONSTITUTION: A device for resetting a microcomputer(200) of a monitor operating in DPM mode includes a reset switch and a reset circuit(220). The reset switch is set at a predetermined area of the monitor. The reset circuit resets a reset terminal of the microcomputer placed within the monitor when the reset switch is turned on. The reset circuit has a transistor(Q1) and the first and second diodes(D1,D2). The emitter of the transistor is electrically connected to the reset terminal of the microcomputer and the base of the transistor is connected to the reset switch via the second diode. One end of the reset switch is commonly connected to a power supply and the anode of the first diode, and the other end of the reset switch is connected to a ground terminal.
