PURPOSE: A device for preventing collision of piston of reciprocating compressor is provided to prevent collision of the piston when the piston moves more than fixed range. CONSTITUTION: A device includes a cylinder(20) having a cylinder body(21) with a penetrating compression space(22) formed therein, a discharge passage(23) fluidically connected with the compression space formed in the cylinder body and a pressure chamber formed as an inner space in the cylinder body to be fluidically connected with the compression space and filled with high-pressure; a first piston(50) and a second piston(60) inserted to both sides of the compression space of the cylinder in respect to the discharge passage to linearly move; and a pressure inflow and outflow device installed in the pressure chamber to protrude toward the compression space and discharging high-pressure gas in the pressure chamber to the compression space between the first piston and the second piston by being pushed by the first piston and the second piston when the first piston and the second piston move with excessive strokes.
