PURPOSE: A device and a method for accessing a main computer in an HLR(Home Location Register) system are provided to process syntax check information continuously by accessing a main processor when a trouble of a LAN or an OMP(Operation Maintenance Processor) is generated. CONSTITUTION: A memory(100) stores instruction words as a creation, a modification, a deletion, an output, etc. being used in an OMP computer in an HLR system. If an input instruction word is received from an operator terminal, an RMI(Remote Man-machine command Interface) processor(200) judges whether an input instruction word is existed in the memory(100) or not. If an input instruction word is existed in the memory(100), the RMI processor(200) outputs syntax check data corresponded to the input instruction word. A main database(300) stores syntax check information as information of the HLR system, position information of each terminal, user information of the terminal, etc. A main processor(400) receives the syntax check data from the RMI processor(200), and processes of a creation, a modification, a deletion, or an output of the syntax check information stored in the main database(300) in accordance with the syntax check data.
