METHOD FOR OBTAINING, PROCESSING AND STORING REFERENCES TO INFORMATION SOURCES, REFERENCE LISTS AND FULL COPIES OF INFORMATION SOURCES

The invention relates to methods for obtaining, processing, storing and using references to information sources, reference lists and full copies of the information sources. Said invention deals with diversified references and diversified reference lists and makes it possible to add new type references. Obtainment of references to the information sources and the lists thereof implies metaretrieval of information in different information resources functioning on a distributed network (in particular on the Internet). The aim of the invention is to add new retrieval machines for a metaretrieval carried out by a user. New references are also received from lists from an outsource (for example, from Web pages). According to the invention the full copies of the information sources already existing in a user storage device are excluded for data display after reception of the full copies of the information sources. Processing references to the information sources and the lists thereof implies addition to the references and the reference lists of descriptive fields, an easy retrieval of required references and operations for obtaining new reference lists based on two and more existing lists. Operations of structuring stored references and reference lists and the obtainment of information on the list containing a specified reference are also disclosed.
