A hydrogen-permeable structure which comprises a porous support and, formed on the surface or in the interior thereof, a hydrogen-permeable membrane comprising palladium (Pd) and having a thickness of 2 mu m or less; a method for manufacturing the hydrogen-permeable structure which comprises supplying a solution containing Pd from one side of the porous support and a reducing material from the other side thereof, to thereby form the hydrogen-permeable membrane on the surface or in the interior of the porous support. The hydrogen-permeable structure is improved in the prevention of release of a hydrogen-permeable membrane and thus exhibits improved durability.
