The invention concerns a pair of scissors comprising two branches with handle bows for inserting the fingers (1) and two interchangeable blades (2). Several blades of different sizes can be adapted to the same pair of legs. The legs (1) are linked and intersecting on a pivot or swivel base like in conventional scissors. The lug or tenon (4) of the blade (2) is inserted in a main rectangular slot (3) open on either side of each leg (1). The slot (3) of the leg comprises two rectangular recesses, one upper (5) and one lower (6), wherein are urged to be inserted to corresponding rectangular raised parts (7, 8) of the blade (2). The main slot (3) of each leg (1) comprises likewise four round projections (9, 10, 11, 12), two upper and two lower, wherein are urged in adapted insertion the four corresponding round recesses (13, 14, 15, 16) of each blade (2), Thus, the blades are securely fixed in place and can be detached quickly and easily. The inventive instrument is designed for surgical use but can have other applications.
