PEROXYESTER PREPARATION METHOD

The invention relates to a peroxyester preparation method that can be used, in particular, in polymerisations, such as vinyl chloride polymerisation, or in the thermosetting of polyester resins. Said method comprises the reaction of a hydroperoxide salt with an acid halide or an acid anhydride in the following conditions: the Rb molar ratio between the hydroxy-hydroperoxide corresponding to the hydroxy-hydroperoxide salt and the acid halide is between 0.5 and 1.5; or the Rb' molar ratio between the hydroxy-hydroperoxide corresponding to the hydroxy-hydroperoxide salt and the acid anhydride is between 1 and 3; the hydroxy-hydroperoxide salt being pre-prepared by reaction of the corresponding hydroxy-hydroperoxide with a base, using a molar ratio Ra between the base and the hydroxy-hydroperoxide that is between 0.5 and 1.5; and the inventive method is carried out in an aqueous medium. The invention also relates to an aqueous emulsion comprising the peroxyester obtained and a polymerisation method using an initiator for radicals containing said peroxyester.
