<p>A bricklaying tool (60) includes a mortar guide member (2) having a slot (3) for reception of mortar when the tool (60) is placed on a course of bricks when building a wall. The mortar guide member (2) has a brick engagement panel (10). An upstanding mortar retaining flange (17) is provided having a rear edge of the panel (10). A spirit level (63) is mounted on the flange (17). The slot (3) is open ended with a stiffening strut (65) mounted across the open end (15) which also forms a handle.</p> |
