<p>A linear measurement and magazine storage arrangement for thread comprises thread feed elements and thread length-measuring elements together with magazines. Reversing elements for thread parts are designed to bring about interaction with thread parts between thread support elements. The magazine(s) is designed with retaining devices which retain thread parts in predetermined position(s). An arrangement for linear measurement and magazine storage of thread ahead of the pick in looms or textile machines comprises thread feed elements (1) and thread length-measuring elements (2) together with magazines (6). The magazines are designed to store a predetermined length of thread ahead of the pick. Reversing elements (5, 5') for thread parts are designed to bring about interaction with thread parts (7a, 7a', 7a) between thread support elements (4, 4', 4, 4'). During the interaction, the reversing elements are able to displace thread parts in predetermined directions (16) that deviate from the feed direction (14) into the magazine(s) to predetermined position(s). After the introduction of the thread parts into the magazine(s), the reversing elements are allowed to return to the starting position. The magazine(s) is designed with retaining devices adapted to retain parts of the thread in the predetermined position(s).</p> |
