<p>To clean a web carrier belt (5), in a papermaking or cardboard production machine, at least one jet (4) is moved laterally and aligned at the belt to give a stream of a cleaning medium (6). The working zone for the jet is at a belt guide roller (16) with a non-linear contour, or where the belt movement is shifted. The local cleaning action is adjustable, across the belt, to achieve the required cleaning effect. To clean a web carrier belt, at a paper/cardboard production machine, the cleaning action is determined by the position of the jet across the belt. The jet is moved across the carrier belt at a defined and constant gap (AD) from it. The operating pressure (PB) at the jet is controlled to give the desired cleaning medium pressure at the belt for the cleaning action. A control unit (17.1) sets the gap between the jet and the belt and/or the jet operating pressure. An independent claim is included for as assembly (1) to clean a carrier belt, at a paper/cardboard production machine, with a jet which travels across the belt to deliver jet streams of a cleaning medium, with at least one positioning unit at the jet, with a control unit and a setting unit, to set the gap between it and the belt to give the required cleaning effect. The position setting unit has a hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder, or an electromotor which drives a rack. Preferred Features: At least one pressure control (17) gives the jet operating pressure, with at least one control unit and a pump (14,14.1) with a rotary speed control. The pressure control is linked to a gap sensor (19) or perforated disk or increment transmitter, to give the gap between the jet and the belt or generate a position signal. A suction zone (23) works with the jet unit, to extract loosened dirt and water mist and any residual water. The roller is a spreading roller for the web with a controlled bending action, or a control roller with a shifting linear contour.</p> |
