Clamping device (1a) for clamping a flexible drive comprises a pivoting arm (4a) having on its free end a tightener (5) placed on a pulling device (6). The pivoting arm is rotatably mounted in a housing (2) via a pivot bearing (7) formed by a pivoting arm axis (8a) and a bearing holder (9). A torsion spring (16) is arranged in a peripheral region of the pivot bearing between the housing and the pivot arm. The first force component of the torsion spring acting in a peripheral direction impinges upon the tightener and the second force component allows force-locking axial support of an annular flange (14a) connected to the pivoting arm axis via a friction coating (15) on the housing. The pivoting arm axis is connected in one piece to the annular flange.
