The coupling device has a ferromagnetic flux path extending across the function unit plug-in locations, for acting as a magnetic bus, coupling each function unit (9) with a primary coil (3) coupled to an electrical line (4), each of the function units associated with a secondary coil (5) wound around the flux path. An independent claim for an electrical function unit with a secondary coil for connection to a magnetic coupling is also included.
