The method involves using a measurement device, especially a resistance measurement device supplied with power inductively to generate a measurement current. Measurement values acquired by the measurement device are transmitted digitally and wirelessly to an evaluation unit (19). The testing can be conducted on a robot (1). An independent claim is also included for a system for functionally checking a measurement object, especially fuel sensor in motor vehicle tank.
