FIBRINOLYTIC PEPTIDE FROM CHALAZA IN HEN EGGS

PURPOSE: Provided is a peptide which is separated from chalaza in hen eggs by adding a protease to the chalaza then ultrafiltering it and has a fibrinolytic activity. CONSTITUTION: The peptide having a fibrinolytic activity is prepared by the steps of: collecting chalaza from an egg; washing it with potassium chloride solution to remove remaining egg white; hydrolyzing chalaza protein by adding protease to the chalaza; ultrafiltering the hydrolysate to fraction it by a molecular weight and obtaining a fibrinolytic peptide; and assaying fibrinolytic activity in the peptide by fibrin plate method.
