ENCODING AND DECODING APPARATUS IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR THE SAME

PURPOSE: An encoding and a decoding apparatus in a communication system and a method for the same are provided to generate quasi complementary turbo codes by considering characteristics of turbo codes. CONSTITUTION: An encoder(101) encodes inputted encoder packets and outputs symbols. A convolutional encoder or a turbo encoder is used as the encoder(101). The encoder(101) outputs symbols of 15360 bits if a code rate of the encoder(101) is 1/5 and data of 3072 bits are inputted. A channel interleaver(102) interleaves the symbols generated from the encoder(101) according to a predetermined rule. A QCTC puncturing/repetition portion(103) punctures and repeats the interleaved signals of the channel interleaver(102) and outputs quasi complementary turbo codes.
