Layers (1, 2) and sandwich spacers (4), the latter formed from a reinforced planar structure (3) of mesh material. This is shaped by deep-drawing at right angles to the surface, forming projections (4) defining spacing. An independent claim is included for a method of solar heat recovery by passing a fluid, especially a liquid, and preferably water, through an interspace of the membrane structure.
