CHEMICAL ABSORBENT FILTER FOR AIR CONDITIONING

PURPOSE: Provided is a chemical absorbent filter for air conditioning, capable of removing a hazardous gas such as acid gas, alkali gas and volatile organic compound (VOC) contained in air at low concentration of several tens to several hundreds of ppm, by 90% of the total concentration with low flow pressure loss of 3-12 mmAq while the air flows at 2.5 m/s, and preventing filter abrasion, dust generation, and a secondary pollution by a volatile absorbent material. CONSTITUTION: The filter is fabricated by applying a glue on a support and fixing an absorbent on the glue, wherein circumference (C) of a section of a string of the support and a grain size (d) of the absorbent(10) are in a range of 1.5d<=C<=7d, and wherein the mean grain size (d) of the absorbent ranges from 0.05 to 2mm and the absorbent is selected from a group consisted of a porous ion exchange resin, a porous organic-inorganic hybrid absorbent, impregnated activated carbon and a porous inorganic absorbent.
