An identification code representing that a playing card constitutes a predetermined set is given to the playing card so as to find an abnormal card falsely mixed in genuine playing cards. The identification code is read from each of playing cards constituting the predetermined set so as to judge whether or not the playing card is a genuine one or an abnormal one. The identification code given to a playing card cannot be visually recognized in a usually used state.
