METHOD FOR THE ADHESIVE APPLICATION OF A PRINTED LAYER TO THE SURFACE OF A TOOTHBRUSH PART CONSISTING OF A PLASTIC MATERIAL

The invention relates to a method for applying a printed layer (7) to the surface (4) of a toothbrush part (2) consisting of a plastic material, said printed layer (7) being placed or pressed onto the surface (4) of the toothbrush part (2). According to the invention, the toothbrush part (2) consists of polyoxymethylene (POM). After the placing and/or pressing operation, the exterior of the printed layer (7) is exposed momentarily to a hot-air or flame treatment in such a way, that the surface (4) of the toothbrush part (2) begins to melt slightly, producing a permanent bond with the printed layer (7). The invention allows printed layers (7) transferred onto films (5) to be fixed onto plastic injection-moulded parts in a scratch and abrasion-resistant manner.
