<p>A method and apparatus for determining an indication of perceptual speech quality for a voice signal. A receiving circuit receives a single electronic voice signal. An analysis circuit, coupled to the receiving circuit, measures a perceptual quality of the voice signal without use of a reference signal and provides an indication of the measured perceptual quality. The measured quality can include an indication of one or more of the following for the received voice signal: a hearing sensation loudness, a sharpness of sound, a fluctuation strength, or a roughness.</p> |
