<p>A process for preparing vinyl aromatic-allylic alcohol copolymers, such as styrene-allyl alcohol (SAA) copolymers, is disclosed. The process is conducted in the presence of a solvent, which enables the preparation of copolymers having both low hydroxyl functionalities and low molecular weights. SAA copolymers produced by the process have an average hydroxyl functionality less than about 4.</p> |
